FRANCISTOWN: With 16 days of Activism against Gender Based Violence Campaign already in full swing, a 11-year-old girl has revealed harrowing details of how she was allegedly raped three times by his 35-year-old stepfather.

The current case bears the hallmarks of another case in which a soldier based at Area S camp is awaiting sentence after he was found guilty of raping his stepdaughter. When the case started before Principal Magistrate Dumisani Basupi last week, the accused’s attorney Kagiso Jane told the court to note that medical report form that is part of evidence shows that the girl was not penetrated.

Narrating her ordeal when giving her evidence in chief, the complainant said that on February 1 this year, she reported the matter to her Guidance and Counseling teacher after she was psychologically affected by what her stepfather, a soldier at Area S, allegedly did to her.
