Workers busy at work cleaning the statue of the first President of Botswana the late Sir Seretse Khama on Thursday afternoon as part of the preparations for the 2nd Meeting, of the 2nd Session of the 11th Parliament which will commence on February 1, 2016. The meeting will start with the presentation of the Appropriation Bill 2016/2017 by Finance Minister Kenneth Matambo, who will immediately thereafter present the Budget Speech.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on

Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
