Orapa And Letlhakane Mines Saluted

ORAPA: Principal education officer in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (Special Education Division) Victoria Ramaribana has hailed Debswana Orapa and Letlhakane Mines for strides made in enhancing the quality of education in Botswana.

Ramaribana said this when a team of special education experts from her ministry visited Orapa recently, to conduct an outreach programme for the Boteti region.

The team was undertaking assessments on children with special needs in the region, who are enrolled in special units, mainstream schools as well as those awaiting placement, "to determine their needs and enable government to provide the necessary interventions for these children to access quality education," she said.
