Mommy me-time: Do we need it?

The words have just been going round and around and around. I kept telling myself that I would write this piece after my kids go to sleep, after I finish cooking motogo, bathing them and so on. My list of, " I'll do it when's..." is becoming longer and longer. I just never seem to have any time to do anything that is solely for me and doesn't involve my children.

This thinking had me feeling very guilty - like I was a mother on a mission to get away from her children only to do something for herself. How selfish!  Or is it?
