BNF allay fears of skirmishes at congress

SELEBI-PHIKWE: The Botswana National Front (BNF) has allayed fears of trouble at its special congress this weekend. The congress has been called to adopt two party policy documents.

At least 1,000 delegates are expected to attend the event, which begins on Good Friday at the Selebi-Phikwe Town Hall.

BNF spokesman, Moeti Mohwasa said the congress will discuss and adopt the sectoral policy and the revised Social Democratic Programme. He ruled out the possibility of other contentious issues being forced on the agenda. He said the two policy documents have been sent to constituencies for further scrutiny and would be discussed at the congress.
