Seeing a product, any product, being developed from scratch would make us all appreciate the smaller things in life, PATRICIA MAGANU explains why

FRANCISTOWN: Going to a store and buying a finished product, even if it is a mere loaf of bread, is only the end of the process. The beginning of the process is much more mesmerising.

That came to light when my colleagues and I visited the biggest, and maybe the only, towel manufacturing company in Botswana, Northern Textile Mills (Nortex).
Most people have no idea where the towels and gowns they buy from retailers come from.
