Boko tops BNF lobby list

The lists have current party spokesman Moeti Mohwasa, former secretary general Akanyang Magama, former Gaborone mayor Harry Mothei, Lemogang Ntime and Maemo Bantsi.
Boko is a human rights lawyer who made a name for himself in prominent cases like the legal tussle between Basarwa and government over relocation from the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). He won the case for the Basarwa people. Boko is slated for the party presidency, whilst Mohwasa seeks to retain his position of information and publicity secretary.
While it is widely acknowledged that Khama holds the title of Kgosi, the government’s failure to properly gazette his recognition has raised serious concerns about adherence to legal procedures and the credibility of traditional leadership.
