As the campaign for the Botswana National Front (BNF) elections heats up, some prominent members of the party have released a lobby-list topped by Gaborone lawyer Gideon Duma Boko.

The lists have current party spokesman Moeti Mohwasa, former secretary general Akanyang Magama, former Gaborone mayor Harry Mothei, Lemogang Ntime and Maemo Bantsi.

Boko is a human rights lawyer who made a name for himself in prominent cases like the legal tussle between Basarwa and government over relocation from the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). He won the case for the Basarwa people. Boko is slated for the party presidency, whilst Mohwasa seeks to retain his position of information and publicity secretary.
