Mascom launches EDGE-enabled Mobile Internet

Mascom Wireless recently launched a new product called the Mascom Mobile Internet, using Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE).

EDGE is a high-speed mobile data standard, an enhancement of the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network which Mascom introduced in 2005. It is the next step in the evolution of GSM and takes Mascom closer to UMTS, often referred to as 3G.
