Declining COSSASA attendance worry sports Minister

The Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Shaw Kgathi has expressed concern at the declining number of countries that participate in the Confederation of the School Sports Associations of Southern Africa (COSSASA).

Hosts Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho are the countries taking part in the competition out of a possible 12. "That seven other countries have not been able to attend this competition is worrisome," Kgathi said.

He was officiating at the opening of the COSSASA athletics competition in Gaborone on Friday.
