Galaxy does not recognise Rollers as champions

Jwaneng Galaxy say they dropped their case against the Botswana Premier League (BPL), for the sake of football but does not recognise Township Rollers as BTC Premiership champions.

Galaxy wanted Miscellaneous docked points for failure to honour a fixture against Rollers last season. The BPL, through an instruction from the mother body, the Botswana Football Association (BFA) ordered a replay instead, acknowledging the Serowe side had been notified late.

But Galaxy, who were in title contention with Rollers, wanted Miscellaneous to lose points which would have been awarded to Popa. With the soft points, Rollers were not going to be crowned champions, which would have necessitated a play-off decider to determine the champions.
