The trio who broke into and stole from Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) president Gomolemo Motswaledi's motor vehicle were yesterday refused bail by Extension 2 Magistrate Joy Brown.

On February 14, 2014 near Maruapula shopping complex Bakang Ramontshonyane, Karabo Joseph and Ditiro Reboeleng are suspected to have broken into Motswaledi’s car and stolen a Dell 5520 laptop worth P12,000, an iPad3 worth P8,000 and a Blackberry Storm worth P5,000. The stolen property amounted to P25,000.

Yesterday the court learnt that of the stolen goods, only the iPad had been retrieved whilst the laptop and mobile phone are still missing. The prosecution submitted that the suspects should be remanded in custody pending trial because they may tamper with investigations. The court also heard that the fourth person who is suspected to have also been involved in the incident is still at large.
