4% increment elicits mixed responses

Botswana Federation of Public Sectors Union (BOFEPUSU) is still stunned by the announcement made by government of the proposed four percent salary increment, while negotiations are still ongoing. Mmegi Correspondents MPHO MOKWAPE and SHARON MATHALA took to the streets to hear Batswana’s views


Edward Baikepi feels the proposed percentage is an insult to public servants.  Though employed in the private sector, Baikepi said the government should have taken into consideration that public sector workers have been long without a salary increment.
