The Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) vice president, Dirang Thipe has remained defiant following a decision to dismiss him from the committee.

A decision was made this week to fire Thipe, who has been on suspension from the executive committee since March. The committee endorsed the disciplinary committee decision, which found Thipe guilty of bringing the association into disrepute.

However, Thipe told Mmegi Sport yesterday that he does not accept the ruling as the committee did not have the power to fire him. “Those people are not serious.
