Former president, Ian Khama is scheduled to officiate at the Botswana Football Association (BFA) general assembly, next week Saturday, the first time he is expected to do so since he became its patron.
BFA chief executive officer, Mfolo Mfolo said Khama, a passionate sport fan, will officially open the assembly, which will be held at Tlotlo Conference Centre in Gaborone.
“He has confirmed that he will attend,” Mfolo said yesterday.
BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti is expected to give the delegates, the state of the association address.

The assembly is expected to ratify the late start to last season’s BTC Premiership, which commenced in September instead of August, as per constitution. Some of the annual general meetings for the BFA’s affiliates were held outside the prescribed dates, which will also need to be ratified, Mfolo said.
There would be the appointment of judicial committee members after some left, creating vacancies.
