Youth Entrepreneurs Find Niche In Consultancy

Agemates at 21 years, the trio of Emmanuel Tswai, Tlotlo Letsholo and Ed Kalo Ndebele, are certainly on a path less travelled by many of their peers. The intrepid three have ventured into an industry that has fewer opportunities in Botswana.

A little bit over a year after establishing and setting up a business management and consultancy company they christened Kingsman Consultants, their achievement is now stuff of dreams, especially for new businesses which usually struggle to turn a corner.

Already, they are weighing their options thinking to export their services beyond the country’s borders in the next five years.

Having met in a holy place, the trio truly believe they are awash with blessing, hence are destined for greatness. The new-kids-on-the-block,Kingsman Consultants,  started from humble beginnings in March 2017, specialising in a wide range of business services that included consultancy, company and business registration, Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Board  trade licencing and company secretary services.

But in just over 14 months, the company has expanded its wide range of services and ventured into artist management, supplies and productions and are already looking into construction. One of the founders, Tswai has been something of an unexpected success as some people have tried this business and run out of patience along the way.

Tswai, who is currently doing a short course to attain a Certificate in Accounting, said that for him and his co-founders, they found a niche they firmly believed is up for the taking. He said they plan to build a global consultancy firm in the next five years.

“We have had a good number of clients in a very short time and have received good feedback from other people whom we have helped.

What we are doing, we can take out there. I know there are other firms doing

the same thing, but if they can come here, we also believe that there is a market for us out there,” Tswai said. “We have registered over 100 companies and over 10 businesses thus far, and we seem to be getting overwhelming clientele. We are a sustainable business at the moment.  “This is more because of how we have approached our business. Anyone can get into business, but it is one’s presentation that would get you more business. As you can see with our uniform, image is very important and like the gentlemen in the movie Kingsman, we are classic,” Ndebele waxed lyrical.

Ndebele, who has enrolled to study for his Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Multimedia and Television at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, indicated that they manage artists such as Mingo Touch, poet Natasha Ndebele, also known as Tasha Noet and actor, Tebogo Daniel Magopane alias Sebonta. He said their participation at the Business Summit in Francistown and the Youth Expo, coupled with their business acumen, has evidently catapulted their company image to dizzy heights.

He said as a gesture of giving back, the company recently sponsored a non-governmental organisation called Secret Heart when it commemorated the day of the African Child under the theme ‘Leave No Child Behind’.

Letsholo, an Accounting and Finance student at Botswana Accountancy College said that they self-funded the company and are now able to afford office rental at Block 3 industrial.   He said that they hope to inspire other young people to work hard to achieve their dreams.
