BMD to elect youth league

The Botswana Movement for Democracy (BMD) National Executive Committee meeting (NEC) has resolved that the youth league congress should be held on November 18 at Lobatse.

This came after BMD National Working Committee early this year resolved to postpone the BMD youth elective congress. There was however a division, which led to members of Jacob Kelebeng’s lobby list winning at a controversial congress held in Ramotswa.

The congress was postponed after the youth league had said it does not have money to run the congress and also that there were not enough delegates to hold it. The then party president Ndaba Gaolathe funded the congress.
