Mmathethe brother killer denied bail

LOBATSE: A 26-year-old Mmathethe man Olebogeng Mogatusi, who faces charges of beating his older brother to death, will spend more time in jail after a social worker report advised court to remand him further for the safety of his family members.

Delivering bail ruling yesterday, Lobatse Chief Magistrate, Mareledi Dipate said a “social worker’s evaluation” has indicated that the family of the accused person are afraid their lives will be in danger if Mogatusi is admitted to bail.

“This court has received the social worker’s report and I have gone through it. The social worker has recommended that the accused remain in custody since his family members are afraid that their lives will be at risk if he is released on bail.
