Netball tickets sale starts slowly

NWYC Local Organising Committee (LOC) general manager, Tebogo Kesupile has called on Batswana to buy the tickets. It is just over two weeks before the country hosts the first ever world netball competition in Africa. “At this stage, I would like to encourage Batswana to buy the tickets since they are already in shops, especially Spar shops,” Kesupile said.
She said it would be disappointing for Batswana to fail to attend games simply because fans from other countries had snapped all the tickets online. She added that at the moment the ticket sales are slow. “Let’s not wait until it is late, because the tickets are still available even online through Web ticket,” she said. Meanwhile, the trophy and the games mascot Naletsana began a 10-day countrywide tour to ramp up the hype ahead of the competion. Unfortunately, the team would be absent as it intensify training, but the squad will join the tour in Francistown. Speaking during the trophy tour launch yesterday, Botswana Netball Association president, Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego said the trophy carries a lot of history because there were some new changes that were made for the 2017 games.
