Mixed feelings on karate coach appointment

There are mixed feelings from various quarters regarding the appointment of senior national karate team coach, Sensei Otto Tafa from Botswana Karate Federation. The coach is replacing Sensei Peter Molefhe of Hayashi Ha Botswana.

Sensei Christopher Ponatshego has been appointed the junior team coach while Sensei Goitseone Mongologa is in charge of children. Mmegi Sport is informed that Tafa did not deserve to be given the position, but he is being rewarded for voting in the current executive committee. Some of the complaints raised are that Tafa would not be training the team as frequently as expected because he stays in Francistown.

Some of the applicants who are alleged to have shown interest in the position are Sensei George Tshikare and Molefhe.
