BOFEPUSU battle with Government seems far from over

Botswana Federation of Public, Private and Psrastatal Sector Union (BOFEPUSU) yesterday applied on urgent basis, for imprisonment of the Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP) Carter Morupisi and Director of the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM), Ruth Maphorisa, for being in contempt of Court.

This comes after Government went ahead and paid salaries of public officers inclusive of three and four percent salary adjustment for the financial years 2016/17 and 2017/18 respectively.

A Court order from the Gaborone High Court recently interdicted Government from awarding the increment unilaterally and declaring such unlawful.
