Gov�t supports US missile strike in Syria

The Government has called the recent missile strike by the USA on Syrian military as a necessary intervention that will send a message that the use of weapons of mass destruction, whether nuclear, biological or chemical is totally unacceptable.

Though an escalation to the Syrian conflict, a statement from Emmanuel Pheko, spokesperson in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation says the action would hopefully will send an unequivocal message.

“In the same way, we condemn the indiscriminate use of conventional weapons as it has resulted in the killing of many innocent people, including children,” he says.
