Man rapes granny, forces her to bath

PALAPYE: Malahapye police are investigating a case in which a young man at Kalamare cattle post raped a 59-year-old woman and forced her to bath in a bid to conceal evidence.

Mahalapye Police Station Commander, Superitendent Isaac Mamadi, said the matter was reported to them early Friday but it happened on Thursday night.

“The woman was sleeping with her sister whom she stays with at the cattle post when the incident occurred. She said a young boy whom she couldn’t identify well because of trauma forcibly entered their house and called her by name,” he said.
