The Botswana swimming team which took part in the CANA Zone IV Swimming and Water Polo Championships in Zimbabwe, managed a medal haul of 14.

James Freeman was the toast of the competition, which attracted over 400 swimmers from 13 countries, after bagging nine medals in a record breaking performance.

 According to Botswana Swimming Sport Association (BSSA) communications and marketing officer, Timothy Maje, Freeman set new time in the boys (15-16 years) 200m butterfly with 2:13:68 and the individual medley where he clocked 2:17:97.
