FRANCISTOWN: Tatitown station commander Superintendent Cyprian Magalila has expressed concern over the increasing rate of stocktheft in the area.

In an interview with Mmegi, Magalila said most affected areas include Mathangwane, Matobo, Natale, Matsitama and Marapong.

He said they are concerned that cattle owners turn their backs on their livestock and relegate the responsibility to caretakers. The police boss said that last year they recorded 60 cases of stocktheft, which included 57 cows, 93 goats, 29 donkeys and 19 sheep.
