Police dismiss threat-to-kill charges against Davids

Mochudi police have dismissed rumours of threat to kill charges levelled against the Member of Parliament for Mochudi East, Isaac Davids.

Of recent, news has been circulating that Davids was alleged to have threatened to shoot and kill Boseja south ward councillor, Gomolemo Gouwe, with a gun. It was alleged that the MP’s whereabouts were unknown with the police looking for him over the charges.

The misunderstanding is said to have started during a kgotla meeting at Mochudi where the duo exchanged harsh words with Davids threatening to shoot him (Gouwe) with a gun. It is reported that the misunderstanding took days and at one point the duo met again somewhere at Rasesa village where Davisd is alleged to have blocked Gouwe’s way with a car something that frightened him.
