BOFEPUSU�s Nationwide Rallies And Demonstrations Start

Botswana Federation For Public Private Sector Trade Unions (BOFEPUSU) will next week start their nationwide workers’ rallies whose intention is to pave way for their (BOFEPUSU) structures across the country to organise nationwide demonstrations against a myriad of labour issues that the Government continue to frustrate the trade union movement.

In December last year, at their special congress held in Tlokweng, BOFEPUSU congregants resolved among others, to return the fire and stage demonstrations against Government on a litany of labour-related issues that are refusing to weather away under the current regime.

The special congress also gave the BOFEPUSU leadership the mandate to pursue legal cases with a view to protecting workers’ rights and labour movement’s rights in the face of repressive laws that are being continually passed with the view to muzzle the Unions.
