Motswana Student Wins Inter Campus Pageant

Nineteen year-old Institute of Development Management (IDM) Motswana student, Bakang Mangisi outshone 12 others from Lesotho and Swaziland IDM campuses on Friday to be crowned the prettiest of them all at the second IDM Inter-College Games hosted by IDM Botswana.

Mangisi said that as a young woman who believed in working around the clock, she would use her status as the queen to empower fellow students and ensure that they take their studies seriously. She further stated that she felt that she had the potential and capability to positively represent the institution.

Earlier, during the question and answer session for the top five, the young woman was able to impress a number of fans amongst fellow students when she was asked how she felt about beauty pageants limiting women and choosing specific type of women to compete in pageants.
