Residents Urged To Turn Waste Into �Gold�

FRANCISTOWN: Members of the public in the second city have been encouraged to turn waste into useful products to eke out a living. Chairperson of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Weng Yongbiao told residents that what might be waste to another, could be a treasure to some when officiating at this year’s Clean Up the World commemoration held here recently.

He said waste could be recycled to make new useful materials, which people could sell to the public and generate income. 

He called on the Francistown City Council (FCC) to consider introducing new ways of making waste into useful products, which would then create job opportunities and boost the country’s economy.
