Basketball season pushed to August

The local basketball league season has been pushed to August due to a new structure implemented and lack of basketball playing surfaces.

The season normally starts in March and most of the matches were played at the University of Botswana basketball courts and Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) courts.

“We are exploring a new structure whereby we start in August and end the following year in March. We want to align with our foreign counterparts,” Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) public relations officer, Tumelo Boima explained.
