Softball sign IWG declaration

Botswana Softball Association (BSA) on Wednesday became the fourth code to sign the International Working Group (IWG) on women and sport declaration, which advocates for an increase of women in sports.

The other codes that have signed the declaration are Botswana Karate Association (BOKA), Botswana Basketball Association (BBA) and Botswana Netball Association (BONA).

BSA spokesperson, Kelebogile Seitei told Mmegi Sport that they held long discussions with IWG secretariat as a way of empowering themselves and appreciate its advantages before signing. Seitei said on the other hand, most members of BSA executive committee are women and they played a pivotal role in pushing for the signing of the declaration.
