Alleged rapist remains in police custody

LOBATSE: A 35-year-old man of Woodhall in Lobatse who is facing charges of allegedly molesting a nine-year-old girl on two occasions while she was in his care was further remanded in custody yesterday

The accused allegedly raped the child on April 16, 2016 at around 8pm in Lobatse.  He is also alleged to have on a second occasion raped the child on May 30.

The accused pleaded for bail saying, “I have valuable property left at home which I need to put to safety because it is very important”.
