Township Rollers midfielder, Maano Ditshupo walked away P65,000 richer after winning the Mascom Top 8 player of the tournament and top goal scorer awards during a function held at the Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) last Thurday.

An emotional Ditshupo thanked particularly Rollers investor, Jagdish Shah for his support. “I am short of words. I would like to thank everyone for this award. I dedicate it to Shah for his continued support to the team,” Ditshupo said. The diminutive skipper was instrumental in Rollers’ run to the final although he was overshadowed in the most critical game of the campaign against Orapa United.  He beat favourites, Ronald Chikomo and Olekantse Mambo of Orapa United. Chikomo shared the top goal scorer’s award with Ditshupo after netting four goals.
