Debswana First Division South League side, Rolling Boys got away with a fine after being found guilty of fielding an ineligible player. The First Division South committee chairperson, Sam Keitireng said they had taken a decision to fine Boys for misconduct.

He said they are yet to decide the amount, but hinted a maximum fine of P3,000 might be imposed.  Boys were brought before the committee for using a defaulter in their games against Lesirane City and Black Rangers. Keitireng said the ruling for Rangers protest has been postponed to Friday. He said the team had failed to serve Boys with a protest letter as per the committee’s instruction. He said in their last appearance Rangers had complained that they were not acquainted with football rules. He said the side was advised to seek help, but failed to do so.

Despite the ruling being pushed to Friday, the matter is expected to be dismissed. “It is clear that the player was involved in matches at a time when he should have been serving suspension. The cards were to automatically fall off in the forth match against Santos. We had expected Santos to also lodge a protest, but they have not done that,” said Keitireng.
