The Minister Of Youth, Sport and Culture, Thapelo Olopeng has said the timeframe for the completion of the renovation of the National Stadium ahead of September’s Independence Day celebration is ‘risky’.

He said this at a press briefing on the Botswana 50th  celebrations on Tuesday.

Olopeng said they hope the contractor will finish the project on time. He said the contractor is scheduled to have finished the renovations in August. “I am being conservative on this, we don’t know. The contractor might finish in July or September, so the issue is a risk,” he said.
