FRANCISTOWN: The Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Edwin Batshu has dismissed rumours that he will quit active politics when his term as Member of Parliament (MP) ends in 2019.

Batshu, MP for Nkange, is said to be positioning himself to take over as sub-tribal authority (Moemela Kgosi) in his home village of Maitengwe when he retires from politics.

Talk is rife in his constituency that Batshu has indicated that he will not contest in the 2019 general elections and is currently positioning himself to take over bogosi in his home village.
