The President of the Court of Appeal (CoA), Ian Kirby, has profusely apologised to the new appointee of the same court, Justice Frederik Brand.

Before the delivery of the judgements for the CoA’s January session, Kirby addressed the court on what he said was the rude behaviour from the Law Society of Botswana (LSB) chairperson Lawrence Lecha.

He said it was rude and uncalled for to use the opening of the Legal Year to talk about Brand and his appointment.
