An alleged illegal immigrant is being treated for serious injuries at Scottish Livingston Memorial in Molepolole after jumping off an Immigration truck.
According to Chief Immigration Assistant, Mpolokeng Monageng, the man sustained injuries following a daring escape attempt from a moving truck on Tuesday. The truck transporting 23 illegal immigrants from Gaborone to Molepolole Prison arrived minus the two who had jumped off the moving vehicle. She said one of the two jumpers was admitted in hospital while the other was later sent to Molepolole Prison.

Tshenolo said upon realising that the man was escaping from custody, they stopped and pursued him. “We, therefore, decided to catch him as he was running away, in order to take him to the police,” Tshenolo said.
Tshenolo said when they arrived in Molepolole, near the Engen Filling Station, to hand over the suspect to the police, they realised that the other attempted escapee was unfortunately injured in the process.
