ODI/MATEBELE:The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) Parliamentary candidate for Mochudi East Reverend Mpho Moruakgomo had the shock of his life when he discovered that the tyres of his white Mercedes Benz 320 had been slashed with a knife.

The incident occurred over the weekend, just a few days after President Ian Khama held a star rally in Moruakgomo’s constituency.

In an interview with Mmegi, Moruakgomo sounded unshaken by the incident and said that he had parked his car at Oodi and joined his team to do a house-to-house campaign in Matebele village. He said that when he returned he found that the two tyres on the right hand side had been slashed with a sharp instrument.
