Ausi Maggie never wants to talk about “Useless Bugger,” her ex-husband, more than it is necessary. In fact in her opinion it is never necessary to talk about him. Her motto is very simple: “Let sleeping dogs die”. And she makes it very clear who the dog is. Sometimes when she is in a generous mood she modifies this to: “When you see a sleeping log, do not disturb the deadwood.”

For a long time her husband was nicknamed “Deadwood” because of that, but this had to change when senior government officials appropriated this sobriquet and completely monopolised it.
