National women�s expo returns

The 15th edition of the National Women’s Expo returns to Fairgrounds from June 23 to 29.

A statement from the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs indicates that the National Expo aims to offer women entrepreneurs an opportunity to come under one roof and showcase their products, learn from one another as well as network with others. Organisers said the Expo is one of the poverty eradication strategies adopted by the Gender Affairs Department, which targets women entrepreneurs from all over the country.

The strategy is part of the National Gender Programme, particularly addressing the critical area of concern on poverty and economic empowerment of women.
