Man whipped, fined for dagga

The Gaborone Urban Customary Court last week slapped a 29 year-old man with a P300 fine and four strokes for smoking and possessing 19.1 grammes of dagga.

Central Police Station officer, Constable Themba Jiya told the court that they arrested Meto and his friend on August 8, 2013 for being in possession of dagga. Meto’s friend failed to appear at last week’s trial.
