Moses Bantsi has returned as the president of Botswana Athletics Association

TLOKWENG: Moses Bantsi was on Saturday voted as the President of the trouble ridden Botswana Athletics Association(BAA), after the athletics body held an impromptu elections following the mass resignation of the committee two weeks ago to force the incumbent Thari Mooketsi to resign.

The Mass resignation by the committee was their last resort to force Mooketsi, who has been pulling on the opposite directions with his committee and the mother body, the Botswana National Sports Council since 2012.

Two weeks ago the athletics committee’s motion of no confidence on Mooketsi hit hitches, but they quickly found an alternative, a mass resignation that would force new elections that led to his demise.
