Excessive alcohol consumption is associated with violence and road traffic accidents

FRANCISTOWN: A Maunatlala man who killed a fellow patron during a drinking session on Independence Day, will spend the next 15 years thinking about the errors of his ways.

Yesterday, Justice Zibani Makhwade jailed Thatayaone Morotsi for the 2014 crime, which took place at Equator Bar in Maunatlala.

According to the sentence, Morotsi killed Batsile Dihale after a misunderstanding during a spell of unrestrained alcohol drinking.
