Madd Doggs album to be out soon

But those who have been wondering why the youngsters took so long to release their debut album after such a successful single a year ago, would soon be saved of the anxiety.

They promise to unleash their rocket just after the awards, which were held on July 19. Their single, titled Tsokotsa had heads turning just weeks after its release but unfortunately for those ho fell in love with the Kanye based outfit there was no way to own a CD as it was only a promotional release.

The track, Tsokotsa especially impressed almost immediately. Their appearance at Btv's Mokaragana show was one of the few memorable last year. Their dance style left the crowd asking questions and so was the whole audience watching at home.

They were invited for various star-studded shows after their appearance at the national television station looked like theirs would be a quick climb to fame.

But they then disappeared into 'oblivion' and fans were left wondering if the boys were only there to 'try their luck'. For a long time their name vanished from the banners. But almost when everybody was starting to forget about them, including their 'home boys' in Kanye, the boys resurfaced.

The judges for the Presidential awards, who were in Kang to choose the Southern Region representatives at the finals, could not resist Madd Doggs's magic and energy, thus qualifying them ahead of many hopefuls in the 'Up Coming' category.

The two young men explained their long absence from the scene to Showbiz in an earlier interview cancelling fears that their stars fade before they could even shine.

'We are still there and our album will be out after the awards because currently, we are focusing all our energies towards winning the 'Up Coming artist' category. We want to show the whole country what stuff we are made of even before our album comes into the market,' said Lethudi 'Ice' Aogane.

The other half of the band, Mosimane 'Mafia' Railed chipped in: 'We delayed releasing a full album because we wanted to make sure we bring a good piece to our fans and I promise the long wait will be worth their while.'

They seem to like the name dog, no matter what language it comes in. Their coming album is called Dintsa tsa Kasi. It comprises two songs in the earlier single plus another four new tracks. Already they have shot videos for three of the songs and plan shooting more once the album is out. Without doubt the videos will go a long way in helping promote their music. While it displays their skill, creativity and it also has that simplicity factor where only a few characters feature in the motion pictures.

While they still have a long way before they can call themselves stars Dintsa tsa Kasi will certainly give established acts a run for their money and perhaps if properly marketed establish Madd Doggs as the group for the future while erasing a few names from the fans' memories.
