Phoi appointed KBL Technical Director

 

According to a statement issued by the company, Phoi joined KBL in 1985 as an Engineering Maintenance Supervisor. He worked his way through the ranks and served in the following positions: Brewery Maintenance Engineer, Packaging Manager, Production Manager and Plant Manager, all at KBL.

His qualifications include a Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Grimsby College of Higher Education; the United Kingdom (1983-85); Refrigeration Technician Part II, Kenya Polytechnic (1977-79); and Technical Teacher Certificate, Botswana Polytechnic (1981-82).

Phoi has also undergone training in Brewery Engineering at the Southern African Breweries Training Institute (1992-93) in Johannesburg.

As part of his development, he was seconded to the Lesotho Brewing Company as Technical Director at the beginning of 2003.

He joins KBL from his Lesotho assignment where he leaves behind an efficient and motivated team. As Technical Director, Reg will be managing a budget in excess of P235 million, leading the technical and manufacturing function of the company. He will be ultimately responsible for the cost-effective and reliable production of high quality products at KBL's two production plants (beer and soft drinks).
