Fire truck in an accident

Traffic flow was impeded as it took police, firemen and army officers seven hours to remove the truck, which had part of its body blocking the road.

Acting Station Fire Officer Tladi Pilane told Mmegi that this was the second fire truck to be involved in an accident in a period of two months after another truck overturned in Phase Two last November.

'As you can see this one is badly damaged and it will have to be replaced instead of repairing. The other one was also a write off,' Pilane said.
