Nandos Comes Back To Palapye

The store, which will have a drive-through facility, will start operating at the beginning of August.

In a previous interview, project quantity surveyor, Nyasha Magwaza of Diphalane Mall said that it will be the first ever drive-through Nando’s in Palapye, hence patrons should expect nothing less than an exquisite service.

Palapye residents are also excited about the re-opening of Nando’s as they were left disappointed when it closed down in 2015.

Overjoyed residents were over the moon that they now have more choice  from eateries that include Chicken Licken, Steers, Bimbos, Wimpy and Hungry Lion.

Bokang Tumedi, 33 could not contain his excitement saying Nando’s has always been his favourite restaurant, therefore he cannot wait to have a taste of it once again.

“I am going to be the first customer when they open. Nando’s has always been my favourite and when it closed in 2015, I was left shuttered knowing that it will be hard to have a taste of my favourite flame-grilled peri-peri chicken whenever I feel like,” he said.

He added that although he was used to dining at Nando’s twice in a month, he was now forced to only enjoy it when he travels to Francistown or Gaborone.

Tshiamologo Baipadi, 23 said the store will be the pride of Palapye with its distinctive features noting that it will also attract many people to Palapye as they will enjoy the drive through service.

She said it is always tiring to queue for orders and sometimes one can end up quarrelling with the shop assistants when it takes long for the orders to come through.

“Sometime we deal with rude employees who will give you attitude whenever you try to order therefore with the drive through it is always effective and the shop assistants are always friendly.

Moreover, it will be convenient when travelling as it is located along the A1 road,” she said.

Another resident Shangano Mokwadi shared the same views as Baipadi that Nando’s will give a facelift to Palapye as it gradually urbanises.

He is happy that it is not only Nando’s that will be opening in Palapye as many other shops not currently available here are expected to open once the multi-million pula Diphalane Mall opens later this year.

Mokwadi said this will bring convenient shopping which is currently a challenge in the village with residents travelling as far as Francistown and Gaborone due to limited malls and shops.
