Opposition parties hype vis--vis Domkrag

The election preparatory work especially the core items e.g the ballot paper and pens are done by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) alone, supervised by the Office of the President (OP) and now assisted by a sophisticated monster in the form of Timor Consultancy Services becomes vivid.

Rumour has it that the elections stationary eg ballot paper, pens etc were, made by TLC in Israel, brought home and landed 30/08/2014 midnight at SSKI Airport, did not go through clearing process, and were whisked away by BDP trucks to IEC offices.

The first scientific formula trick is with ballot paper and pens. Either the boxes on ballot paper on which cross marks are made, and boxes for opposition are the focus here, or the pens.

Opposition voters applying them to each other by affixing cross marks on them, the latter will have disappeared by the time the ballot boxes are emptied, for ballot paper counting.

Ballot papers without marks will become spoiled papers.

The second scientific formula trick is with ballot papers on which there are boxes each belonging to a particular party or independent candidate on which a voter makes a cross.

The focus here is an invisible cross mark in the Domkrag box which become visible through a scientific formula that ensures transfer of ink from cross marks in opposition boxes.

Opposition vote split aids Domkrag

The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) and Botswana Congress Party (BPC), battle together to help Domkrag win through vote splitting.

Domkrag/IEC/TCS can strategize

If above factors pass stringent test especially the first two, Domkrag can play around with numbers to achieve two thirds majority win, only opposition constituencies which are pliable can be allowed to win and go to parliament.

Mark Sonny Serite’s words

In his column he wrote that President Ian Khama would only announce the election date when his party is ready, meaning that when the exercise by his office IEC and TCS will ensure victory for Domkrag and ready they are.

Recent Zimbabwe elections as an example

Zimbabweans IEC and TCS having concluding their work, they advised President Robert Mugabe to announce the election date, which he did and the rest is history.

Domkrag worried and restless, really?

With their plan detailed above they are at ease. In the absence of the said plan, they would have long time back worked overtime to make most Batswana happy so as to win them over. Remember events leading to and after Tshiamo ballot box before Gaborone South by elections? Domkrag, in panic mode, made promises and delivered on some of them like street vendor licenses. Currently they are offering minor temporary jobs for the building industry and small inducements for civil savants to take effect April 2015, seemingly certain they will win elections.

UDC/BCP/IC hype, really?

Do we have an ace up our sleeve regarding Domkrag/IEC/TCS plans, yes. Vote splitting can be overcome if one of us especially UDC gets more votes than the other and Domkrag in most constituencies. Opposition could have avoided vote splitting. Yes if BCP had honoured the agreement undertaken with the other three opposition parties in 2010 and in fulfillment of BOFEPUSU request to unite under one umbrella. I urge Batswana to rally behind the call by BOFEPUSU and UDC to punish BCP for its untoward behavior by not voting for them.

Sanctity of the ballot/ elections rigging

It is hoped that the opposition has taken the necessary steps with IEC to ensure that cell phones, photographic materials etc are not allowed into voting booths e.tc.

Domkrag/TCS - bad omen for our country’s democracy

Oppositions parties, civil society and the general public must not allow Domkrag/TCS to set a bad precedent.

If Domkrag wins the elections through rigging techniques used by TCS it will be a very bad omen for the country. Domkrag will perpetuate its stay in power by engaging TCS for many general elections to come.
