Ex-BBA housemates visit three Lobatse schools

BMC spokesman Tiro Kganela is happy about the success of the tour that took the celebrity couple to Crescent, St Theresa's Primary School and Pitikwe Junior Secondary School. The excitement about the couple was so huge that it needed police presence to control the huge crowd. Kganela said one of BMC's purpose was to bring a famous face to Lobatse, and Oneza proved to fit that description, thanks to the craze that showed on the day.

'It was crazy, their presence, to a population in a town like this, meant a lot. Young people in Lobatse do not usually have a celebrity come and interact with them.  'I know O'Neal as a friend. He is also a businessman, but he also has a mission similar to ours at the BMC - education.

'O'Neal's social responsibility is to inspire pupils to take education seriously, and that's where BMC and him met; we also have a public education segment in our Public Relations and Communications Department,' said Kganela'We successfully harnessed the power of entertainment to create public awareness about the significance of education.' Earlier this year BMC also hosted the first ever Lobatse Beef Festival to celebrate the beef industry at a time when it was making unpleasant headlines.
