Juju Vine back with a bang

The house kwasa maestro is due to release his second album, Punta Cana at the end of next month but has already released three singles from the album that have proved to be hits amongst fans.

Juju Vine says the album, which has quite a number of hits named in different languages, was inspired by his love for travel and socialising hence he features quite a number of artists from Southern Africa, including Mr Simple from Zimbabwe, Magic Link from Zambia and Linda from Namibia.  'I travel a lot, thus I just wanted to include something from my list of travel destinations,' he told Showbiz.

The album, which has a Nigerian feel to it, is a 10-track house kwasa album and has three singles that have been released from it. 'So far I have released Marea (the remix), Nitombolilo and the third single Punta Cana, which is the title track,' he added.  Juju Vine explained that Punta Cana was a name of a club in Namibia that he loves performing at hence he decided to have it named after it.

One of the tracks on the album, Mr China Man, is currently playing on Channel O and has been playing since last December.  'Mr China Man is a track featuring Chinese men because I just wanted to see if featuring them would work well and I have to say I am pleased with the response I am getting as people just love to see them dancing,' Juju Vine says.  Juju Vine has performed the three singles and so far the crowd loves all of them.'I was performing alongside ATI last week and the crowd was on its toes.  It (crowd) just loved the songs to bits,' he explained.

Juju Vine also told Showbiz that he has considered taking part in Big Brother Africa 2013.'I've always wanted to join Big Brother, because I think I am just too wild and crazy.  It would do me some good.' He also adds that all along he has always had the love for joining Big Brother but the issue was timing and now he feels that the time is now for someone to bring the prize money home.

'I'm a very sociable person, and I talk a lot, I love laughing so I feel that I really have what it takes to win this one.  My crazy personality is just a plus,' he says.Punta Cana will be launched in Namibia end of March, and will then be brought to Botswana before being taken around the Southern African region.

The videos will also be shot in Namibia as well.  He urged Batswana to keep on requesting his video Mr China Man so as to increase his chances of a possible nomination in the upcoming Channel O awards. 'There's a Facebook Channel O Request It page, so they can just request it there and support me,' he said.
